This is my dog Chelsea. She is a chocolate lab, and loves the outdoors! This first picture is of her standing on top of the rather large snowpile at the end of our driveway (also where the kids have made a snow fort).
I am standing on top of my deck looking down on Chelsea to get this first photo. I used auto focus, to allow the trees, Chelsea, and the snow to be in focus. I also did not zoom in, so I could really expand on the surroundings.
The second photo, I stood below her, and also zoomed in to really focus on her. I used the portrait feature on my camera, to soften the background, and allow Chelsea to remain sharp. I really like this photo!
I frequently use different settings when I take photos, but never really thought about changing angles for the same picture. I really liked this experiment, and believe I will take several different angles when able, to really see the differences in my photos.
I am very impressed that you managed to have your dog stand in one place for such a long time!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite was the second picture as it showed the sky in the background with your dog in front, looking like he was in charge.
I like the close up, it almost looks like it's in b&w, just really nice contrast.
ReplyDeleteIn the second picture he looks like he is gazing of to the horizon if I could caption that picture for him it would say "The world is mine".
ReplyDeleteMuch like everyone else, I like your second photo. Really makes your dog the focus of the picture. He does look like he's in charge in that second one.
ReplyDeleteI like the second one the most. Chelsea seems to be yelling "I'm king of the wooooooorld!" Reminds me of playing King of the Hill as a child.

I like both of these pictures. The dog and his surroundings are captured great in both of these pictures, but yet show two completely different views.
ReplyDeleteYour dog is so cute!! I love the second picture. Its as if she is King of all dogs. She definitely looks the almighty one. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI too like the second photo. Brings the photo to life giving it a different angle. I like how she is perched like she has seen something that that has caught her eye! The colors of the sky are very neat as well. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletegood doggie! I too like the "worm's eye view" of Chelsea, it makes her seem so majestic.
